Hello! My name is Olivia, I am a mental health therapist based in southeastern Wisconsin. I started my blog, Be Here Now, aimed at providing mental health related information, resources, and materials more inclusively to those without the opportunity or ability to attend therapy.

Our world has seen improvement in the understanding and acceptance of mental health/mental illness, but there is still a long way to go. My goal was to create an accessible platform that provides various mental health related materials outside of the therapy space. Mental health support is a right, not a privilege.

When I’m not in my office, you can find me spending time with my cat, Gouda, planting, making art, listening to music or trying out a new recipe.

Be Here Now is a reminder to slow down, breathe, and return to the present moment. In a world that constantly pulls us in different directions—toward the past we can’t change or the future we can’t predict—this phrase calls us to simply be. Rooted in mindfulness, Be Here Now is about finding peace, clarity, and purpose in the now, where life is actually happening.

I chose Be Here Now as the name of my blog because it reflects my personal and professional journey in mental health. It’s a phrase that grounds me, and one I hope will inspire others to pause, reconnect with themselves, and discover the strength and calm that comes from living fully in the present.
